Our goal is to ensure the sector thrives as a vital component of communities supporting loved ones across Alberta by reducing workplace injury and supporting mental health and wellness.

CCSA as your Safety Partner

The role of a safety partner is crucial in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Safety partners are responsible for providing safety education to employees, conducting health and safety program reviews or baseline Certificate of Recognition audits, and identifying areas that need improvement. They also work closely with management to support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, and to ensure that all employees are aware of them.

Furthermore, safety partners are often the first point of contact for organizations that have safety concerns or need assistance to develop policies, safe operating procedures, emergency response planning, and training. They can assist with improving the effectiveness of the joint health and safety committee to complete thorough incident investigations and work to identify the root cause of the problem so that it can be properly addressed.

In short, the role of a safety partner is to promote a culture of safety within an organization. By proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards, safety partners help reduce the risk of incidents and injuries and ensure that employees have a safe and healthy work environment.
