Grant Funding for Continuing Care Modernization

The Government of Alberta is implementing the Continuing Care Capital Program – Modernization Stream to replace, renovate and/or upgrade facilities to improve the quality, life safety, and accessibility of existing Continuing Care [Designated Supportive Living (DSL) and Long-Term Care (LTC)] Residences located in the province. Alberta Health Services (AHS) identifies the Priority Communities for this grant as those having the greatest need for modernized continuing care spaces, either through the replacement, renovation or upgrading of Continuing Care Residences. This Modernization Stream targets the modernization of existing aging infrastructure and is not focused on the addition of net new continuing care capacity; the future Priority Communities Stream will target the addition of new continuing care capacity to Alberta’s health system.

Applications are already open.

Deadline: January 6, 2023.
